About Hong Kong Express
Located at 15452 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, Hong Kong Express operates as a chinese restaurant serving Westminster in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under fast food restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:30 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (714) 892-6514. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 1,200 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Westminster and suggests consistent service.
Westminster is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Westminster is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Okey this place is about quantity over quality for sure. Don’t get me wrong, the foods are just so so but definitely, the portion is just HUGE. Was in the plaza and late evening therefore stopped by for quick Chinese fast foods. I wouldn’t say it’s Hong Kong style, Chinese yes, HK most likely not. Parking is easy since the plaza has a big parking lot. The place is decent, messy & not well organized. Staff or all the ladies there are nice, friendly and funny. Got 3 items portion but somehow got 2 instead…the rice is undercooked (my pov), and the noodle is tasteless. Got the green beans and bbq pork…it’s amazing how they packed it, item on top of item….and when you open the box, you literally don’t know where to begin. The green bean is abit soaked therefore mushy and still abit under seasoned. The bbq pork is huge with big cut. Still not quite taste like bbq pork I used too…looks like it but unfortunately under delivered in taste. There is couple orange chicken got into the box (eve though I did asked for it), just say that I’m so glad I didn’t get the portion of it. It’s just okey, more of the batter and for me doesn’t taste like orange chicken…the seasoning and taste

I recently tried this Chinese food spot and had a really satisfying experience overall. The food came out hot and fresh, and you can tell they put effort into flavor and portion size. The fried rice was well-seasoned—not too greasy—and had a nice balance of vegetables and protein. The orange chicken stood out with its crispy texture and just the right mix of sweet and tangy sauce. I also appreciated how fast the service was, even during a busy time. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was correct with the order. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that the sauce on some dishes could be a little lighter, but that really comes down to personal preference. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re craving Chinese food that’s flavorful, filling, and reasonably priced. Each serving size can feed two or more people. You should definitely stop by and try it.

You would think the videos lie about them packing it until you cant close without the help of a bag. You thought wrong. Hong Kong Express packs everything. They will make sure you get what you paid for as well as leaving with dinner/tomorrow's lunch. It is a small restaurant to eat at, but every bite. I had a hard time getting my food out of the bag! 🤣 Orange Chicken is nice and crispy, mushroom chicken holds that nice balance. Fried rice was soft in texture and flavor, not much salt. Chow main was deliciously balanced as well. Will come again! Best come before rush hour!

Be ultimately prepared to get more than your money‘s worth here. This place is incredible. The ingredients are delicious. The lunch specials are absolutely beautiful, but I’m gonna tell you right now. I ordered the three item plate they didn’t get around. I split up the chow mein on the rice, but I made sure that I had the jalapeño chicken, the broccoli, beef, and the barbecue pork which by the way is the best barbecue pork I’ve had a long time now you might be thinking you’re coming here for lunch, but you’re not you’re coming here for lunch and dinner because this place will take care of you. They will make sure they only do you get the best food but you get enough of it to share with your friends yes and they do offer the family dinner.

We’ve gone to Shun Fat Supermarket so many times and honestly never paid attention to what was next door. Then my husband saw Hong Kong Express on Instagram, apparently it went viral because they stuff so much food into the takeout box that it’s literally overflowing. Quick search showed it’s right next to Shun Fat, so we decided… why not go the same day? We arrived a little after 6pm and the place was packed, with a line of people waiting to order. Prices are super affordable for SoCal. Chow mein or fried rice + 1 item: $13.79 2 items: $15.49 3 items: $16.99 The staff behind the counter work fast, and they are very generous, seriously scooping food like it’s free . The portions shocked us, so we played it safe and ordered chow mein + 2 items. Big shoutout to the young server, she had great awareness and wouldn’t give us the last scraps from the tray. She waited until a fresh batch came out before serving us, which we really appreciated. The chow mein was about Panda Express–level, the chicken with green beans was solid, and the Kung Pao Chicken leaned more toward an American-style flavor profile. Two people definitely couldn’t finish it, we still had leftovers to take home. O
